Get answers to common questions about Lip Wax.
Yes — we assess skin and sensitivity during consultation. We use gentle, low-temperature wax and calming pre- and post-care to reduce irritation. If you have severe sensitivity or recent oral procedures, we may suggest a patch test or alternative hair removal.
Typically results last two to four weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and aftercare. Regular waxing often yields finer regrowth and longer intervals between treatments. Hormones, medications, and individual genetics will affect duration.
Most clients feel a brief stinging or sharp sensation, but it’s quick. We use calming pressure, fast removal, and soothing products immediately after. For anxious clients, topical numbing or breathing techniques can be discussed during booking.
Yes — timing matters. Avoid waxing immediately before chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments to reduce irritation risk. Wait at least 48–72 hours after major or intensive facial procedures. Tell your technician about recent treatments so we can schedule safely.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and avoid heavy creams or oils on the lip area. Let hair be at least 1/4 inch long for proper grip. Avoid sun exposure, retinol, or exfoliation 48 hours before waxing to reduce sensitivity.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, intense exercise, and direct sun for 24 hours. Apply calming aloe or antiseptic balm we provide, avoid makeup on the lip for 12–24 hours, and gently exfoliate after 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
