Get answers to common questions about Arm Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth arms for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and personal factors. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hair finer, extending time between sessions. We tailor schedules based on your needs.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on initial sessions, but most clients find it tolerable. We use quick techniques, pre-wax numbing options, and calming products to minimize sensation. Regular waxing usually becomes less uncomfortable as hair thins.
Clean, dry skin free of lotions offers the best results. Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior to remove dead skin and help prevent ingrowns, and avoid sunburn or recent tanning. If you're on retinol, consult us before waxing.
Yes. Avoid heavy creams, perfumed lotions, hot baths, saunas, vigorous exercise, and direct sun exposure for 24-48 hours to reduce irritation. Use light moisturizers and the soothing aftercare we provide to promote healing and prevent ingrown hairs.
We assess tattooed or scarred areas individually. Fresh tattoos or recent scars need time to heal—typically several months—before waxing. Older, healed tattoos are usually fine, but some scar tissue may be sensitive; we'll recommend alternatives if waxing isn't suitable.
Most arm waxing sessions take 15-30 minutes, including consultation and quick pre-wax prep. Allow extra time for aftercare discussion or combined services. New clients might need a few additional minutes for thorough assessment and comfort measures.
