Get answers to common questions about Microshading/Combination.
Microshading/Combination blends powdered shading and hair-like strokes to create fuller, natural-looking brows. Unlike microblading which focuses on individual hair strokes, the combination adds soft shading for density and longevity, making it ideal for varied skin types and sparse brows.
Most clients report mild discomfort managed with topical numbing cream. Initial redness and scabbing can last about 7–10 days; pigment softens and settles over 4–6 weeks. Follow aftercare to promote healing and attend your scheduled touch-up for optimal results.
With proper care, results last twelve to eighteen months, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure. Oily skin and active sun exposure may fade sooner. We recommend a touch-up at 6–12 months to maintain shape and pigment vibrancy.
Ideal candidates want fuller, natural-looking brows, have sparse or uneven hair, or desire low-maintenance results. Not recommended during pregnancy, active skin infections, or certain medical conditions. A consultation determines suitability and customizes technique and pigment choice for best outcomes.
Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, caffeine, and heavy exercise for 24–48 hours before your session. Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows and share medical history or skin treatments so we can tailor the procedure safely.
Keep brows dry for the first 48 hours and avoid swimming, saunas, and heavy sweating for two weeks. Apply recommended ointment sparingly, avoid picking scabs, and protect from sun exposure. Follow your technician’s instructions and book your touch-up.
